In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in a small town,was part of the cultural choir and was lead singer at church.Also did choral music these moments remain etched in my memory,reminding me of the beauty and magic that music brings into our lives,shaping who I am today. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mandisi Dyantyis, Cwaka Richard Bona, Bonafied Zoë Modiga, INGANEKWANE I am inspired by each artist's sound , and the way they write. The production of each album is so close to how I creativitely compile my work. All 3 albums are relevant to the evolving sound of jazz. Tell us why you chose this song. “Ngimuhle” When I wrote this song I wanted to inspire and bring awareness on self love , understanding ones true essence and how important it is to affirm yourself and know that you are beautiful. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Winning an award in Ghana , Perfoming along side great musician I have always looked up to like Thandiswa Mazwai and Richard Bona. Being recognised not only as a musician but an instrumentalist. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Being part of big stages and attending jazz festivals , creating my own shows and touring the world sharing my sound and the instruments I play.
