That crisp, cold-ish weather is starting to sneak in—but honestly, we’re not too bothered because the joy of being on our bikes makes it so worth it. There’s something about riding through Joburg’s streets, even with a chill in the air, that just feels right.This May, we’re giving you the chance to join not one, but two social rides—or come to both if you’re feeling extra keen! ?? We’re making up for all those public holidays in April with some quality ride time.

The routes will be fairly easygoing, perfect for sightseeing and soaking up the city. Just a heads-up: Joburg has that classic “what goes down must come up” energy, so a few steeps are unavoidable—but don’t stress! You absolutely don’t need to be Iron Woman to join. All you need is the willingness to ride and challenge yourself a little. No elite fitness levels required—just show up and enjoy the journey.

?? Starting Point: Cycle Boutique, 44 Stanley ? Meet at 08:30, ride rolls out at 09:00 (subject to change depending on how frosty the morning is!)

What to Bring & Know:??? Have a light bite before the ride—it is a physical activity.?? Pack water and some sweets/snacks to keep your energy up.?? If you have any medical conditions, let us know before we roll out so we can support you.????? We aim to start riding around 9:15-ish, so please be on time and comfy on your assigned bike.?? Know your height—our bikes are mostly medium, so if you need a smaller size, pop by Cycle Boutique ahead of time to get fitted.????? We have a non-refundable policy (unless the weather acts up), so please only book a bike if you’re definitely riding with us—our numbers are tight and based on available bikes.????? Bike seats can be a bit uncomfortable—if you have one, bring a seat cover for extra cushiony joy.
