Steve Umculo, the award-winning singer-songwriter from Jo’burg, South Africa, is making waves with his genre-blending compositions and dynamic live performances. His music combines Afro-based rhythms with folk melodies, creating a captivating and emotionally rich sonic experience.
Elements, Steve’s debut album, was released in October 2024 and has already gained significant traction on radio and in the press. He has performed on major stages across South Africa, the USA, and Europe, including Festival de les Arts and Splashy Fen, and has collaborated with artists like Stelth Ulvang (The Lumineers), Casey Lowry, and the multi-Grammy award-winning Soweto Gospel Choir. With well over 10 million views on social media for his viral live performances, his global appeal is undeniable. Steve’s sophomore EP, Fall From Grace, produced chart-topping hits, including “Your Eyes Through Mine,” which reached #1 on 5fm’s indie chart and won multiple international awards.
BRETT NEWSKI is an American songwriter reviving 90s alternative rock and folk/punk. He’s been described as a blend of Tom Petty meets 90’s alternative. NEWSKI has played alongside bands like Violent Femmes, Pixies, Nada Surf, Guster, Gin Blossoms, Better than Ezra, Barenaked Ladies, Japanese Breakfast, Built to Spill, and Courtney Barnett. The band has received praise from Rolling Stone, NPR, American Songwriter, SiriusXM, Boston Globe, NBC, Billboard and SPIN.
