Males
On their wedding day, two young Muslims are torn from their African homeland and sold into slavery in Brazil. Cruelly separated by fate, they struggle to survive and find their way back to each other, becoming entangled in the Male Revolt, the largest slave uprising in Brazil’s history, which took place in Salvador, then the capital of Brazil, in 1835.
