Almost a decade of “WHEN ARE YOU COMING?” and we’re finally here!
We’re taking over our new home Democracy Bar. From Xero. Not from scratch, but building on the loud, messy, heart-on-sleeve legacy we’ve built for the past nine years.
This is classic Emo Night, meaning DJs curating mixes of the greatest hits and deep cuts of emo, pop punk, metal, alternative, and more. Expect artists like My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, Spiritbox, Bring Me The Horizon, Pierce The Veil, Korn, Magnolia Park, Paramore, Fall Out Boy, Avril Lavigne, Blink-182 – plus a dose of our EDM meets emo party, Raveyard.
Emo Night started out as a DIY idea above a karaoke bar in Cape Town, and grew into a movement – packed shows, lifelong friendships, and an unshakable love for the music. Joburg has been in our sights since day one, and bringing Emo Night here has always been part of the journey. This city has its own energy, its own scene, and we can’t wait to grow something special with you.
