The eventSimfonia Juventi Concert 2025 Heidelberg GautengMusic for Water

The eventSimfonia Juventi Heidelberg is a celebration of classical music in the historical setting of Heidelberg, Gauteng, on the grounds of the century old Volkskool. This event is very special as it is the second of only 3 concerts performed by this orchestra annually. Heidelberg was selected as venue for its rich cultural heritage, its excellent location and the conviviality of its people. We have been hosting this event in Heidelberg since 2017 and it has become a special event for those who appreciate the beauty of the wonderful, youthful talent of this unique orchestra and its conductor.

It is just unbelievable to experience a full symphonic orchestra in real life

This year is very special as all the funds generated will go towards the “Suikerbosoord Water project”. The project is aimed at providing a sustainable water supply to the retirement village and frail care centre.

We will accommodate 430 guests in one gala event Saturday evening scheduled for 18:30 to +/- 21:00 with an interval in the middle. Tea and coffee with a condiment will be served at the interval - this is included in the ticket price.

The OrchestraSimfonia Juventi, was established in 1981, and consists of 92 talented young musicians, selected from all over South Africa. Members reflect musical knowledge, technical excellence and an abundance of talent. The orchestra is constituted yearly after extensive auditions to select the best young talent. The orchestra then breaks away for an intensive training camp and after all the rehearsals, performs only three concerts each year.

The Orchestra is led by the well-known and celebrated Naledi Winning Musical Director, Conductor, Arranger/Composer and educator, Mr. Eddie Clayton.
