Previous studies show that an estimated 30% of South African girls do not attend school while they are on their period because they do not have sanitary products. For this reason we are lending our voice and effort to this initiative by collecting sanitary towels and hygiene products on behalf of NPO’s that are focused on keeping the girl child in school.

Education is a powerful tool in breaking the cycle of poverty. For many girls in South Africa, staying in school means a chance at a better life, not just for themselves but for their families and communities. Educated women are more likely to enter the workforce, earn higher incomes, and raise healthier and more educated children. The initiative thus serves as a critical lever for economic upliftment, driving home the message that investing in a girl’s education is investing in a nation’s future.
