Where South Africa’s brightest young talent takes the stage

The spotlight is on the stars of tomorrow. The National Eisteddfod of South Africa® Showcase Concerts bring together standout performers from the 2026 Eisteddfod season for an unforgettable celebration of music, dance, drama and the creative arts.

Three nights, three different shows

Every concert has its own programme, so there is a fresh line-up each evening, organised by school phase (group items will be included in the session for the highest grade in the group):
• Wednesday 14 October: Foundation and Intermediate Phase (combined)
• Thursday 15 October: Senior Phase
• Friday 16 October: FET Phase

Come for the night featuring your young performer or catch all three to see the full breadth of talent on offer. Curtain up at 18:30 each evening.

Applause, awards and Eisteddfod glory

Every Showcase Concert includes an award ceremony honouring the achievements of participants from different Eisteddfod regions. Certificates, medals and other awards are presented in front of family, friends and fellow performers. These moments inspire young artists to keep dreaming, keep practising and keep shining, and they build wider awareness of the arts.

Nearly three decades of nurturing talent

Since 1997, the National Eisteddfod Academy (NEA) has given more than 630,000 young performers across the country a safe space to perform, grow and build self-confidence, celebrating the full spectrum of South Africa’s cultural diversity.

For the NEA, it was never only about the awards. What matters most is the journey and how it transforms everyone. The NEA calls it the Magic of the Arts, and you’ll see it on stage.

A stage for everyone

The National Eisteddfod of South Africa® has no limits. Participants of all ages can take part in music, dance, drama and the creative arts, and any individual, group, school or organisation is welcome to register and enter for the 2027 season.

Come and be part of the magic.
