Induna Yengoma is a musical play that celebrates our South African musicians and icons through the battle of the jungle looking at honouring the fact that South African music has always been deeply intertwined with the the country’s socio-political landscape. The play focuses on the different eras of the South African political journey, uncovering civilization, dismantling of thoughts, freedom, unity, discrimination, and segregation.
The play explores this through musical icons and music being a vital form of expression, communication, and resistance throughout the country’s history particularly during the apartheid era.
