3rd Annual Sediba Sa Banna
Soweto, Gauteng – Sediba Sa Banna, a community-rooted non-profit organisation dedicated to healing, mentorship, and social upliftment, proudly presents the 3rd Annual event themed, We Honour boMme, a free-entry gospel concert taking place on Saturday, 17 October 2025, at the Soweto Theatre.
This year’s concert will bring together some of South Africa’s most celebrated
gospel voices, including Mpumi Mtsweni, Sipho Makhabane, Kholeka, Omega
Khunou, Sibusiso Nzima, and Busi Sibiya. Together, these artists will create a
spirit-filled atmosphere that uplifts and honours women for the invaluable
roles they play in their families, communities, and society at large.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mr Nicholas Thipe, President of Sediba Sa Banna,
said:
“Our annual We Honour boMme concert is more than a gospel celebration – it is
a heartfelt tribute to the courage, resilience and love that women pour into
their homes and communities every day. At Sediba Sa Banna, we believe that
true transformation begins when men take responsibility for their healing and
actions. By honouring women, we also remind ourselves as men to rise with
integrity, to end the cycles of harm and , and to stand as partners in
building stronger, healthier families and communities.”
Sediba Sa Banna was founded with a mission to tackle some of society’s most
pressing challenges, that is men’s mental health, gender-based violence (GBV),
and the fundamental restoration of morally broken families, which is in
parallel to youth mentorship focusing on child headed home, seen sadly across
South Africa’s slow growing economy geared to the generation to follow. The
organisation offers safe spaces for men to heal, self-reflect and grow, while
actively engaging desperate young men through workshops, mentorship
programmes, and community outreach. By fostering accountability, emotional
intelligence,
and leadership, Sediba Sa Banna strives to create ripple effects of healing
and empowerment that uplift society.
The We Honour bo Mme gospel concert reflects this mission by blending faith, healing, and celebration into one platform. It symbolises gratitude for women while promoting men’s responsibility and active participation in building a safer and more compassionate society.
