For Sale! tears the mask off this brutal reality with explosive choreography
by Siphiwe Phiri and a haunting live score by Isaac Rakotsoane. Inspired by
true stories of survivors, the dancers embody stolen childhoods, fractured
families, and the terrifying machinery of trafficking syndicates. Every
movement is a cry for justice. Every beat is a heartbeat refusing to
disappear.

Gontse! cracks open the silent epidemic of gender based violence — not only
against women, but against men whose suffering is often erased. This 60 minute
production blends electrifying contemporary dance with soul stirring live
music from jazz icon Tlale Makhene and the choreographic brilliance of
Thandiwe Mqokeli.
Inspired by true South African stories of survivors, the dancers embody the
fear, the breaking point, and the fierce resilience of survivors who refuse to
stay silent. The work exposes the emotional and physical scars carried by both
women and men, revealing how violence infiltrates homes, relationships, and
identities — and how courage can rebuild what brutality tried to destroy.
