Rooted in African cosmology and inspired by Credo Mutwa’s uNosilimela, this production births a new mythic figure, uNokhwezi, daughter of uNonkwenkwezi, a celestial being from Venus, and a mortal king of Earth.
Her birth marks the fulfillment of an ancient prophecy: that a demigoddess would rise to dismantle the ills of MANkind and repair the fractures of a world haunted by unkind spirits.This is not just a story, it is a spiritual reckoning. A journey through time and dimension. A return to source.
Born of love, light, and divine feminine energy, uNokhwezi must navigate the harsh terrain of Earthly existence: patriarchal systems, inherited trauma, religious dogma, and spiritual disruption. Her path from eMandulo to modern- day Johannesburg is both literal and metaphysical: a rite of passage guided by sacred forces such as uNamkhumbulwana, mother of creation, and theomniscient narrator Mkhulukazi, an androgynous being who exists across planes, steering the tale with ritual and rhythm.

As the prophecy tightens around her, uNokhwezi is forced to confront betrayal, exile, death, and rebirth.
