Blooming artist Josie Matabola is a deep-rooted uprising jazz vocalist from Pretoria with an altered defined sound to her music. She acquired her expertise at Vusi Mahlasela Music Academy and is a University of KwaZulu Natal Alumni in Jazz Studies. This music project is a collection of original and inspirational songs in Tswana and Isizulu and covers some of Matabola’s favourite artists. The music is a fusion of South African jazz with American jazz with most of Matabola’s songs inspired from her own life and personal experiences, such as the song Mme Le Ntate which is for her parent.
