Kush Mahleka is a word expressionist, born in the Eastern Cape, Ngqeleni. Most people have that one shoulder to cry on, for Kush, it is the word, she writes to let go. In her 13 years of performance poetry she has had the pleasure to work with extraordinary people such as John Kani and Amanda Black, to name a few.
