Karisma Performing Arts specialises in the Human Voice. We work with individual singers, both amateur and professional, as well as with many choirs across the Gauteng province in South Africa.

We are proud of our adult community choir, The Karisma Singers, which consist of just over 40 amateur singers from across the greater Johannesburg area. The choir meets in Weltevredenpark every Tuesday evening to rehearse and prepare for various kinds of performances. In recent years that included performing at local choir festivals, churches and also producing a music video in 2024. We are currently in the process of creating a brand new choir musical, including actors and multiple choirs, dancers, and various staging elements to create something completely new and fresh! Keep an eye out for details of this beautiful show, which will be staged in the Roodepoort Theatre on 2 & 3 May 2026.

This Showcase will see the Karisma Singers perform a number of works from their 2025 repertoire, which will be followed by performances by several individual singers who receive vocal coaching from founder and director, Johan Bester. Included in this part of the program will be a bracket of works from Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s “Joseph and the amazing technicolour dream coat”.
