Outsider. Freud – Film Screening and Q&A with Director Yair QedarJoin us on 27th September 2025 at the Sol Kerzner Auditorium at UJ for the screening of a award-winning film about Sigmund Freud’s life and work which is currently being screened at film festivals worldwide.Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy is delighted to host screenings of Outsider. Freud (2025), a new documentary about Sigmund Freud, and welcome the film’s director Yair Qedar. The event will begin with the screening then followed by a Q&A session with Qedar.

We will be hosting three screenings on Saturday, 27 September 2025 at the Kerzner venue:10:00 AM - Student rates (R100, pro bono on request) with Prof. Kgamadi Netshisaulu and director Yair Qedar.2:00 PM - Discussion on Freud and polysexuality with Prof. Barnaby B. Barratt and Outsider director Yair Qedar. 7:00 PM – Discussion on Freud and the movie with Prof. Barnaby B. Barratt and Outsider director Yair Qedar.

The public is welcome to attend any of the three screenings, each offering a unique opportunity to engage with this compelling film, culminating in a discussion with the filmmaker himself.________________________________________________________________________About the film: Outsider.
