Led by the inimitable Prof Kathy Munro, we begin with a guided tour of the temporary “Tintanic” exhibition currently on show at 27 Boxes. Curator Gino Hart, an expert on the Titanic, will be our personal guide for this unique experience and will be talking about the South African connection to the famously doomed ship.
Next we’ll take a walk through the innovative 27 Boxes complex, where we’ll discuss the architecture and grab a cup of coffee or a snack (for your own account) before heading over to the iconic ‘Book Dealers of Melville’ - an institution on the 7th Street strip. Here, the owner, Doron Locketz will give a talk about his bookshop (with some great offers for JHF members!
