The “ENTROPY SYMPOSIUM” is a half-day public event organized as part of the
Afropean Intelligence programme, under the S+T+ARTS Residencies framework. It
will take place following a 4-day intensive workshop for the seven successful
applicants of the Afropean Intelligence call for residencies.This public day
serves as a culmination of the workshop, where selected artists will have
familiarized themselves with AI technologies and explored their critical and
creative applications within their chosen art or practice on the African
continent. Prompted by the host country’s Challenge #6—“how data + algorithms
= output”—the symposium’s programme will integrate themes from all other
S+T+ARTS challenges, ranging from digital heritage and education to
