The earth that once carried their laughter, their dreams, and their lives now
carry the weight of their grief. How do you trust the same ground when it has
already taken everything beneath your feet?
UMHLABATHI is an African contemporary dance theatre production that explores
the deeply interconnected themes of mental health, generational trauma, grief,
resilience, and healing through movement, music, and powerful visual
symbolism.
The production invites audiences into an emotional landscape where emotions are in dialogue through energy in the space.
