Mshengu Project is a Musical movement formed and lead by Lally Tshabalala. Lally is a professional Bassist based in Pretoria, South Africa. He hails from Kwaggafontain in KwaNdebele. He studied music at Ochrim School of music between 2005-2008 !and has been a present Musician ever since. He has performed as a sideman for artists such as Zuluboy, Camagwini, Siphokazi, Zonke Dikana, Zamajobe, PJ Powers and The late Sibongile Khumalo just to Name a few. He formed Mshengu Project back in 2014 where they perform his original composition that mostly describe his every day experiences. Mshengu Project has performed in and around Gauteng, in venues such as the former Orbit(Leano Jazz Restaurant), Mangroove, The South African State Theatre, UKZN Centre for Jazz &Popular Music and in Bloemfontein. Mshengu Project is currently working on their first Album which will be recorded live soon
